The UK’s biggest free showcase of Japanese culture returned in 2020. Now in its 12th year, the UK’s biggest free Japanese event Japan Matsuri should have taken place on Trafalgar Square with food stalls, martial arts, performance and more. ‘Japan Matsuri Presents’ took Japan online to bring the best in Japanese culture from cooking demonstrations, performance, dance to talks and workshops directly to people’s homes.
Streaming was between 10:00-20:00 on Saturday 26th and 09:00 -20:00 on Sunday 27th September.

Okayama City, Okayama Prefecture and other local authorities in the area collaborate in promoting “health tourism” — tourism to refresh the body, mind, and spirit while helping visitors access products and services that respect their religious beliefs and that meet their health needs.

Kagoshima Prefecture is the sister authority of Manchester City Council and the London Borough of Camden. This video was made in collaboration between CLAIR and ABC cooking studio, for this tour focused on the cuisine of Kagoshima. Participants were able to enjoy many kinds of food-related experiences and Japanese traditional culture.

The Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme, promotes grass-roots international exchange between Japan and other nations. JET invites young university graduates from around the world to participate in internationalisation projects and participate in foreign language education in Japan’s local government offices, boards of education, and schools. Since 1987, over 70,000 people from 75 countries have participated in the JET Programme.
