Following last week’s announcement by Toyota, there’s more good news for Japanese investment in the English regions with the decision of Nissan to locate its European electric car battery manufacturing at their Sunderland site. The decision coincides with the government’s plan to make the North East the first Low Carbon Economic Area.
Nissan was actively involved in last year’s Japan-UK 150 symposium ‘North East of England and Japan: Economic Past, Present and Futures’ partnered by our centre.
