Anthony Breach, an analyst at the UK’s Centre for Cities think tank, recently visited Tokyo and Miyagi Prefecture through JLGC’s Japan Study Tour to find out more about how cities function in one of the most urbanised countries on the planet – and what the UK can learn from them.
During April and May, Anthony posted a series of blogs summarising lessons from the study tour for local government funding and finance, Japan’s economic geography (hometown tax) and housing policy in Tokyo.
