The 2011/12 Japan Seminar will take place in Gateshead on July 29, with the theme Japan and the North East of England – Investing in People and Places reflecting the region’s longstanding association with Japan through inward investment. Building on events celebrating the 20th anniversary of the partnership between Gateshead and the Japanese city of Komatsu, the afternoon event will feature presentations from Gateshead Council, the Consul General of Japan, the Local Government Association, JETRO and academics in the field of Anglo-Japanese relations and investment.
